THE LATEST TLM CREATION: ROLLING MACHINE MOD TL 218

Given the ever-changing demands for rolled fastening components with increasingly closer execution tolerance and on high-resistance materials, we have decided to include a 2 roller NC rolling machine in our already extensive range of rolling machines, thread rolling die and roll and segment rolling machines. We think in this way to offer our customers and potential new clients the possibility of running small batches or even pre-series batches with reduced machine set-up time. The machines can also be equipped with special feeders which remove the rolled piece and insert the piece to be rolled between the rollers. Logically, the loading system interfaces with the rolling control CNC

RP3 MICRO ROLLING MACHINE

The Rp3 micro rolling machine is projected for producing “micro” screws with a diameter ranging from 1mm to 3mm; in other words, all those parts known as “metal nuts and bolts” that are used in electronic boards and the production of watches, bracelets and other small items.   
It has an automatic loading device especially for nuts and bolts, with interchangeable parts for measurement change, insertion of pre-calibrated parts, semi inverter speed variation, and millesimal adjustment on tool-holder block advance (considering that the thread step is 0.25).
New style tool-holder block:
the 3 advance movements (longitudinal, vertical and transversal) are totally independent;
the comb can be vertically tilted, with adjustment and fixing, and the whole block
can be adjusted to increase or reduce the pressure as the screw begins rolling;
pre-loaded introducer punch in both movement and thrust, to prevent false starts;
guide support connected to the shaker-holder rack, with the possibility to make tiny adjustments to optimise the grip point between the guide and the shaker;
the mobile comb-holder slide is pre-loaded, so is absolutely free of play (an essential condition to ensure all the screws come out identical and with the required tolerance values).

Usable lift width 700mm. Bar ascent speed can be adjusted via Inverter, motorised adjustment system with variable air speed. Double vibrator linear selection system with min. screw diameter 8mm, max 16mm. min length 50mm, max length 300mm. This unit is powered via a vibrating channel whose stop and start are excited by the sensor fitted on the lift's vibrating hopper. The vibrating channel can be supplied by T.L.M. or purchased directly from a specialised supplier.

Sorting carousel, suitable for insertion in the production line for assembling washer screws and threaded screws, and able to carry out crack checks on hexagons, flanges and stems; check for crooked parts, with the possibility to scrap the faulty part. Parts without flaws go directly to the rolling section.
The insertion of the carousel in the production line permits a reduction of production scraps at the end of the line, avoiding subsequent work on parts with flaws, or parts that need straightening.
The checks are carried out with the aid of special sensors, positioned outside the carousel. The carousel is assembled on a powered column, to be inserted at the right height between the loading and rolling sections.

Sorting machine for screws with the following checks: presence of punched marks, ring on head, cracks on head, hexagons on the stems, presence and length of threads, position of the slots and position of the threads (using sensors and telecameras).
Designed to automatically check different types of screw, of different lengths, with the possibility to insert the unit in the line, with the production machines, for quality controls on 100% of production.
The machine in the photo checks parts up to 320 mm long. In this case, a loading system (purposely designed for the customer) has been combined with the machine, to guarantee a constant loading speed. It consists of a lift with horizontal containers; these feed the upper part of the lift with a direction system (TLM system) that aligns the parts on the output guides towards the checking carousel.
The lift hopper is fed from a vibrating channel, sequenced by means of special sensors.
